We are a small team and we hire rarely, so when we do it matters a lot who it is. Everything below is honest rather than flattering.
What it is like
- Eleven people, one office in Bengaluru, no remote-only roles at the moment because most of the work involves handling cloth.
- Everyone does customer care one day a fortnight, including the founders. It is the fastest way to know what is actually wrong with the product.
- Small team means broad roles. If you want a narrow specialism and a clear ladder, this is not the right place yet.
- We pay at market for Bengaluru, not above it. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
Open roles
Production coordinator
Full time, Bengaluru. Owning the line from approved sample to delivered stock across four units. Two to four years in apparel production. You will travel to Ahmedabad and Tiruppur roughly monthly.
Customer care associate
Full time, Bengaluru. Answering email, phone and WhatsApp, and being the person who actually fixes things rather than escalating them. No prior retail experience needed. Clear written English and patience matter more.
Studio assistant, part time
Three days a week, Bengaluru. Sample handling, photography setup, stock counts. Suits someone studying design or textiles.
Speculative applications
We read them all and we have hired from them twice. Send a note about what you would want to do here and anything you have made, to careers@menswardrobe.example. A portfolio is more useful than a CV for design roles; for everything else the reverse.
How hiring works
- A written reply from us either way, within a week.
- A half-hour call.
- A paid half-day task, done at your own pace. We pay for it whether or not we hire you.
- A conversation in the studio with the people you would work with.
No unpaid assignments, no panel of six, and no take-home that would swallow your weekend.
